ReliaSolve worked with the “Be A Maker” (BeAM) team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to provide face shields for UNC hospitals as their stock of commercially-available solutions has become depleted.
We are providing a custom sorting and scheduling program that ranks the hundreds of potential volunteer responses into least-likely to be infected order based on a configurable set of rules for numeric, text, and free-form questionnaire responses. It produces an optimized schedule, taking into account individual availability, the maximum number of shifts a volunteer offers, and limiting the number of shifts per person per day.
This tool was rapidly developed to a usable form, with several iterations of improvement based on feedback and changes during the rapidly-evolving crisis. It is currently being used to schedule the assembly volunteers while undergoing continuous improvement and feature additions.
