{"id":307,"date":"2020-03-31T17:54:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T17:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.reliasolve.com\/?p=307"},"modified":"2021-10-09T12:03:33","modified_gmt":"2021-10-09T16:03:33","slug":"covid-face-shield-assembly-scheduling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliasolve.com\/index.php\/past-projects\/covid-face-shield-assembly-scheduling\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID Face Shield Assembly Scheduling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ReliaSolve worked with the &#8220;Be A Maker&#8221; (BeAM) team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to provide face shields for UNC hospitals as their stock of commercially-available solutions has become depleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are providing a custom sorting and scheduling program that ranks the hundreds of potential volunteer responses into least-likely to be infected order based on a configurable set of rules for numeric, text, and free-form questionnaire responses.  It produces an optimized schedule, taking into account individual availability, the maximum number of shifts a volunteer offers, and limiting the number of shifts per person per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tool was rapidly developed to a usable form, with several iterations of improvement based on feedback and changes during the rapidly-evolving crisis.
